Now that your microwave oven has been successfully installed, let us look at the actual cooking process. To begin with we first need to understand the buttons provided on the control panel and the actual functions that each of them perform.

Please note that this an illustrative panel only. The actual panel of your oven may differ slightly. However the basic functions / operations remain more or less the same across brands.

1. Display - almost all microwave ovens come with a digital display. Its main purpose is to let you view the cooking mode selected (microwave, grill, convection or combination), time set for cooking (in hours: minutes: seconds), remaining cooking time and power level chosen. It can also be used in standby mode to display a digital clock and a countdown timer.
